Just listening to this is so relaxing. Inspired from a place of serenity. Beautiful. Congrats on 100 MicroLessons, another milestone to add to the 500 Ep lessons achieved this year.

Brian, Great lesson. These shorts help to get the old gray matter thinking again and applying what you teach. It helps to reinforce the materials that you have so obviously worked so hard to teach. Grateful for a lifetime for your ability to teach the rest of us your skills and knowledge.

Hi Brian,
Nice thoughtful lesson as usual.
I have one question. In the bars marked with G dim 7 the arpeggiated notes look more like an F#7. ( only one note different) However this would clash with a G dim 7 chord or G bass note if present.
Am I missing something please ?
Thanks
Ken

Hi Ken, I was just thinking the same. Wouldn’t a diminished chord have the root, in third case as not we’d a “G”, then the flat third and flat fifth? I don’t see a G in the chord…
Brian please explain.
It’s a beautiful piece of music 🙂
Brian says
You could think of that as an F#7 – or the notes in a G dim 7 chord – to my ear, I hear a diminished chord sound

Hi Brian, Great song as usual. I don’t want to get caught over thinking in the weeds, but I attempted to determine any harmonized scales that might fit with this piece but got a bit lost, likely switched keys, parallel chords, substitutes etc… Any chance you give a brief summary of key structures? Thanks

I am with ken
I would like you to give us a lesson about the structure, perhaps a short one
I would very much like to improvize in this kind
Greetings Klaus

Very nice. I downloaded the tab. For me, chord diagrams at the bottom would speed up the learning process. Keep up the good work.
