Description
In this week’s guitar lesson, you’ll learn how to play a stand-alone country style composition in the key of C that works on acoustic or electric guitar. No need for jam tracks or another person to accompany you – this is something that you can play completely on your own. I’ll also explain where the notes come from so that you’ll walk away understanding a whole new set of licks and how you can apply them to your own playing.

Hi,
Antigua here, Wow, that is SO kind of you to remember us on Easter and on your family vacation!. I had a thought. We need an Active Melody app for the iPhone that shows the micro lessons! Like you don’t have anything else to do I understand. I want to tell everyone that as a premium member it has been some of the most enjoyable, money well spent times I have had on my guitar journey. So I want to thank you and hope you have a blessed Easter.
All the best!

I absolutely love this one Brian. Love it. Please more in this vein — acoustic, country, mix of rhythm and a little picking, no accompaniment. Perfect.

Hi Brian
Since joining a few weeks ago I have been focusing on your electric blues lessons. I bought my first electric, a Telecaster, in January. I’ve really been enjoying your lessons and you’ve helped me a lot. Today I saw you playing this tune on your CEO 7 and decided to switch back to acoustic, pull out my CEO 7 and give this a try. You do a great job and I’m glad I joined.

Hello Brian
I have been a premium for about a year. I was a little skeptical in the beginning, but it is really great. Your Lessons helped me lot. I love the format; it is brilliant for me to have the backing tracks, because I try to work on every lesson until I can record myself and like the result.
It is much easier to take something away from these lessons than from learning solos of famous guitarists. For example I am a big Peter Green fan. But what struck me is that when you learn his solos is that parts of them taken out of context aren´t really that great. The absurd thing is that these are most often the parts that a hard to learn because they don´t make sense. But I think these parts are absolutely necessary, because of the contrast when he does throw in a really great phrase. But there is no point in me learning these licks.
Your lessons are kind of just the good parts, and sometimes they might sound almost too smooth, but they are brilliant toolbox for improvising, and that is why I really love them. By the way your playing is really great.
Thanks a lot!
Best regards from Cologne, Derek

I don’t often post, but wanted you to know that I love these solo compositions, especially the slow acoustic ones. I had a stroke about 1 1/2 years ago and lost some use of my right hand/fingers. Picking became a struggle. At 67 I had to relearn everything, even typing and how to tie my shoes. Guitar playing seemed to be hopeless and at first I considered quitting after over 40 years of playing, but a physical therapist told me never to stop… that playing the guitar was the best therapy I could apply. It was almost like starting again and anything fast was impossible for me to tackle. But after a year of relearning to use my picking fingers again, I can tackle some of these slower compositions. These little lessons mean much more to me than you will ever know. Thank you!

Hi Brian,
Still very much enjoying your great lessons, especially slow acoustic blues compositions.
Please excuse me for my ignorance but I would like to ask the following………..
Question……….Could you please advise me what the T circled indicates in lesson EP250 above the ledger lines in measure 20, over the ‘D’ Note. Located immediately following the Hammer on and Pull Off, notes C and C#.
I am wondering what the ‘T syllable’ indicates as I can find it in any of my Music Theory Books!!
Best wishes,
Ken
