Description
In this guitar lesson, you’ll learn a call and response lead that was inspired by the Allman Brothers. There’s also several fast licks (with some Stevie Ray Vaughan influence) that I’ll break down into triplets, making them much easier to learn. Lots of takeaways from this lesson that you can apply to your playing.

Hi Brian
Minor item, I noticed the Tab Sheet Heading is EP202. not 203. You might want to change it. Not a big deal
Great Lesson

Brian,
The way you broke down those triplet licks in part two, explained their utility and where they come from, with the right amount of repetition and consolidation, shows me why you are such a great teacher and why I’m so happy to be a member.

Another great lesson, Thanks for going thru the rhythm cords behind the lead. I like to record the rhythm and then play the lead over it so I learn both parts. Very helpful in moving me forward as more rounded guitarist.
justin N says
Excellent composition Brian. Also thanks for doing a section on the rhythm. I think it’s great to learn especially if you want to play with another person. The way you used the “time on the hand” is a really cool way to skip ahead if need be too!
Matteo D says
Hi Brian, amazing lesson as usual!! I was wondering if you’ll ever get around to do some lessons more towards Indie, Alternative Rock and Shoegaze ?? I know nothing beats the blues but I thought I asked anyway 🙂 Cheers!!!

Hey Brian – great lessson! Also, this is the first time I’ve ever been able to do the SoundSlice without it crashing!! Did you guys tune up the tech on that? Thanks!
khrose777 says
very good – the mddle of this piece also reminds me of early Johnny Winter style, circa early 70’s.

Brian, unrelated to the lesson, but is that a Journeyman custom ship tele you are using?
Brian says
It’s a 52 re-issue i picked up from a guy in Nashville off Craigslist

Hi Brian, Love the lessons. I’m working on EP203. When I downloaded the Tab the title is EP202. It appears to be the correct tab, just the wrong name. I don’t know if someone else pointed that out to you. Thanks again I’m really enjoying learning from you.
Kit R.
Brian says
Hey Kit, thanks for the heads up.. I have corrected this so the tab now says “EP203”
Guillermo V says
Insane lesson and insane lick! 🙂
