This guitar belongs to a friend of mine. It was bought in Germany in the early 80s. Do you know what kind of guitar it is?
Here’s what he says about it:
You can switch from humbuckers in parallel to in series, can have single coil or even out if phase and a rotary switch lets you choose various condensers. It has a built-in pre amp and is in stereo (great if you plug it into two amps at once, one clear, the other distorted for example). It has an aluminium neck.

Interesting…
I see 3 pictures here, the first one is obviously a Squire Butterscotch Telecaster, the second one shows a happy … Meelis (Lights) at a festival?? … a third one – well, that’s probably a part of the guitar you are referring to 🙂🎸JoLa

Wow, have no idea what’s going on here. I posted 3 guitar photos, and these other 3 weird photos came up instead. I don’t know where they came from. Anyway, I had another try at it and hopefully the right photos will appear.

Steve My guess is its a home build. It has an 1980 series Schaller 456 micro tune hard tail bridge but some more pictures might help reveal more.

Looks like a Kramer to me, the Aluminium neck is possibly Kramer specifically from about 77..

I had a look at Kramers. They have some similar body shapes and the aluminum necks, but none of them have the weird split head like this one. It is possible that it’s a German-built guitar inspired by Kramers.

Don’t seem to be many about you can still get the bridge assembly like new but they are no longer made I think. So a good clean and polish the headstock aluminum and she could look a lot happier. It looks as if it may be on a boat bulkhead so perhaps the salt might have got at it and there could be electrolytic action having a go somewhere but that is speculation. Are you thinking of buying it its certainly a cool one?
