Hi Bob, ah, man, the injured finger really sucks. Sorry about that. Best of luck with treatment and I wish you a speedy recovery. You did manage a rendition of The Thrill Is Gone though, so not all is lost, and you’ll live to fight on another month.

Sorry about the injury, Bob, but I see you’ve an indomitable spirit and you’re playing like Django with 2 fingers! Take care and you’ll come back with all the 5 fingers playing better than before, my friend!

Oh no Bob, so sorry about your injury! your enthusiasm for the guitar world is so inspiring also in this situation! Wish you to recover very very soon!
If I wasn't making mistakes I wouldn't be the kind of player I want to be. Perfection is dangerous.

Sorry about the bad luck with your finger. We all realise that you had to submit your video so you could get your t-shirt. Speedy recovery and look forward to seeing back to full working order next month. Good luck on Tuesday.

Hey Bobby, you look pathetic! I would hate to break a finger on my left hand. Maybe you should go out and buy a baritone uke, because you can make simple chords using just 3 fingers. I reckon every guitar player needs one anyway, because they are perfect for practicing triads.

Ayayayay, Bobby! That’s a big boo boo for a guitar player … well, unless you’re Django Reinhardt 😉
You get extra points for participation and a hint of your marvelous playability, hope the pinky heals well soon! 🤕❤️🩹🎸JoLa

Thanks for showing up for the team Bobby.
Your contribution was appreciated, though you were in pain. Ep 579 is a good lesson from Brian for a one finger blues. If you have some Castor Oil in the cupboard it may help quicken recovery and reduce pain with your fingers with a rub. -

Nothing can stop you, Bob, can it? I take my hat off to your enthusiasm, which even bandaged fingers and pain can’t stop. Great to hear you play anyway.
I wish you quick healing powers, because playing the guitar should only bring joy and not pain.Take the chance to meet your AM friends on Zoom
This time we are going to have a 600th AM Lesson Celebration Meetup on December 21, 2024For more information click here
I look forward to meet you.

What a bummer!!!! You couldn’t even get away with playing slide unless it was a super fat one or a jam jar! Hope the surgery goes ok and you’re back on the frets soon.

Hey Bob:
While you may need to endure a “stormy monday” I hope Tuesday’s just a helluva lot better! Best wishes for positive news from your surgeon. I enjoyed your thrill is gone and admired your passion to play. I broke my right pinky in Jan 2021 am happy to report that with successfully surgery, a metal plate and 6 screws, and diligent PT it’s really good now. And since it triggered me to get going with AM, I now call it “my lucky break”. All the best Bob, and I’ll look for some music references that can be shared for (potential:-) fun during your recovery! Cheers, Tom -

Well that was well done for a busted hand
You can always do slide for a couple of months, last time I had an injury I tried to learn blues harp not to much success though

Lesson for guitarists….do not toss footballs around. Bad luck, Bobby, I winced every time you put your ring finger on the fret board. Wish you a speedy, full recovery.
