Welcome Jim! You’re in the right place to chat with other guitar players.
I suggest you complete your profile to help us learn a little about you. And use the Showcase your playing forum to upload samples of your playing. Don’t be intimidated. There are players of all levels here and you’re likely to get a lot of encouraging posts.
Also, the monthly challenges are very popular. The December challenge just ended and Brian hasn’t announced the January challenge yet. He’ll post the challenge in the Active Melody Forum Announcements forum and members post their submissions in the Active Melody Member Challenge Response Submissions forum.
And don’t forget the most important thing…the huge category of lessons Brian provides!
Welcome again and enjoy!

Welcome, Jim. Joe pretty much covered it all. Recording yourself and taking part in the challenges is a great way to progress and take part in the community.

Welcome, JIm! If I were you, I’d video myself playing something and post it here. You will get some good comments and suggestions. And try to join in on the Monthly Challenges. Everyone who has participated has said it greatly increased their playing skills.
