Hi folks ,my submission for this month, took a while to get a hook in this backing track .
I settled on a minor sound using triads , minor pent/natural scale and the odd blue note , it turned out quite dark sounding in the end .
Also a personal milestone for me ,this month marks 6 years of continuous challenge subs , where’s that time gone !
Look forward to listening to everyone’s ideas for this track.
I’m away travelling for the best part of this weekend and will catch up at some point .

Hi Martin, that was so cleanly played! Really great minor vibe, and kind of a Western movie feel. Such a great tone. I could see the guy on his horse riding by the cacti. I enjoyed it!

You play that with authority. Minor licks are really well crafted. Congrats on 6!

Very chilled out, indeed. Your acoustic guitar blends really well with the jamtrack. Nice clean melody lines, well played!

Really liked your lead on this Martin. I could see this rolling over the credits of an old Clint Eastwood Western as our outlaw hero rides slowly into frame on a cold desert morning. Great vibe.
And congrats on the milestone, that’s amazing! -

Yeah, great lead playing Martin. A vibe of Ghost Riders in the Sky feel. A really tight, melodic performance. And … ‘Wow’ 6 years without missing! A massive achievement! 😎🎉🎊🎉😎 Here’s to many, many more. All the best! 😎🎸😎

First of all: 6 years of continuous sub, wow! Congratulations! Then, I liked very much your composition and your playing, I chose a dark minor atmosphere too, and I can only appreciate your acoustic submission, so well crafted , played and recorded (a fantastic genuine acoustic tone came out from the recording). A great way to celebrate your milestone!

Six years of continuous challenge participation (incredible, Congrats!) have left their mark, Martin. This certainly sounds very skillful and atmospheric. Would make a good soundtrack for a road movie.
Take the chance to meet your AM friends on Zoom.
The next Meetup will take place in May/JuneThere will be a detailed announcement here in the forum a few weeks before..
I look forward to meet you.

Six years! Congrats. (I see you are wearing your anniversary shirt.)
And for some reason this track has lent itself to dark stuff from many of us. Yours is, indeed, dark but also beautiful. The tone on that guitar is terrific, too. -

What a beautiful sound, Martin! Love the acoustic approach and the minor feel, the blue note makes it even more mysterious or haunting, just my kinda vibe 😉 Played so well too, congrats on 6 years of commitment and determination, glad to have you here!

Congrats on your 6 AM years😀.
Wonderful acoustic sound with the minor mode. I like the simple melody and these very effective chord strums.

Nicely done Martin. I was tough challenge to get something to “stick” with this BT. You nailed the spirit of Brian’s challenge spot on. Good comp!
