This readout I made up gives you the maj, mi, and dim triads for the first set of strings (strings 1,2,and 3)—-for the 2nd set of strings (strings 2,3, and 4) and for the 3rd set of strings (strings 3,4, and 5). The reason I didn’t add the 4th set of strings (strings 4,5 and 6) is that, that set is the same fingering as the 3rd set (strings 3,4, and 5).
This readout also gives you inversions as well. Root chord, 1st inversion, 2nd inversion.
The object or goal is to know how to play do, re, me, fa, so, la, ti, do in triad chords right up the neck on all string sets. AND in all inversions.
Good luck and enjoy!

Thanks Pat! Probably something we should all be working on.

Some of those have a pretty good stretch involved, and I have trouble making them quickly. Maybe I should be taking Finger Yoga.

cool, this goes into my practice set for chords
I haven’t studied triads yet so i have a question: are all these played up and down the neck – or only some get played at certain places? how does this work?
thank you
Hello Jadm, Yes they can, each one be played up and down the neck. But if your going to say: do re me fa so la ti do in chords (triad chords) that’s Major, minor, minor, Major, Major, minor diminished, Major then each one has it’s own specific place. see attachment for the key of A.
