Learn to play blues guitar.

Joanne Shaw Taylor has been mentioned on the forum before; I’ve started listening to her recently. Quite the talent.
Vocally, she reminds me of Danielle Nicole Schnebelen, a singer/bassist from Kansas City MO. Danielle Nicole started out playing bass for her brothers Kris and Nick Schnebelen before breaking off to start her own band
I’ve been a big fan since her debut album ‘White Sugar’ in 2009. She lists SRV as one of her influences and you can hear it in her playing particularly on the title track of that album.
By coincidence I was contemplating my top 10 guitarists in reply to your earlier post and had her on that list.
She’s a hard working musician too, on the road a lot playing many gigs. I’ve seen her a couple of times and she played her heart out.
Yeah Keith, I like them both. That JST song gets lots of airplay here. The guitar riff throughout keeps it rolling. Everytime I hear a chord progression like that on a telecaster’s bridge pickup I get GAS. ☺
