For a few months, Time Warner Cable provided the BET Jazz Channel and it was great. A channel that was really dedicated to music and not trends. I say many different players and singers during that time span and it gave me a new appreciation of jazz guitarist
Recognizing one of Canada’s great guitarists, Ed Bickert. He too commit jazz guitar blasphemy by using a solid body guitar – a Telecaster no less!!
Rumor had it that Ed used one of the old Roland Cube amps from the 80s that were either silver or orange and that he guarded the amp so no would be able to see his settings.
