I haven’t read any posts discussing cables although maybe there was a long time ago.
I just play at home and usually buy inexpensive cables to plug my guitar into my amp. I don’t buy the cheapest but I don’t buy Mogami cables either. Middle of the road for me. (I did buy a Mogami cable once but I don’t hear any difference.)
I’ve probably had 1 cable where the end came out of the jack so I threw it away. I bought MXR 6″ patch cables for my pedal board and haven’t had any problems. I believe Dunlop owns MXR. I’ve bought Speakfriends, GLS, Coolswell, and Moswag cables and they’re still going strong. They’re probably all made in China.
I also bought a Lekato WS70 Wireless system and it seems to work fine with no latency. Now I never am more than or 8 feet from my amp but still it seems to work well.
Has anybody found cables that work exceptionally well or don’t work well at all and want to share their thoughts?

I think the middle of the road and upper priced cables have a better wear and tear characteristic about them, they are more robust than the cheaper makes, however I can’t tell the difference in sound quality between the different manufacturers cables.

Like Richard, I can’t tell any difference in sound quality among any of the multitudinous cables I have. But now days I choose ones that have a more robust plug, because I have had some failures in the internal connections of the plug.

Richard, I can’t hear any difference either but “advertising” claims otherwise. 😏
Steve, that’s usually why I but new cables, they either fail at the jack end or I just rearranged my room and need a different length. 😆
Thanks for the responses!

I think there is close to zero chance that I could tell a sonic difference in cables in a blind test. But like Richard and Steve said, I buy decent cables for the durability factor. It’s so annoying when you realize your cable has gone wonky and you can’t find a good one anywhere in the house.
I bought a few of the “worlds best cables” brand cables on Amazon a couple years ago and they’ve held up well. Looks like they use Mogami wire, for whatever that’s worth.

Well, cheap TS cables often have a weaker shield and are prone to interferences, especially on stage. The sound quality isn’t necessarily any worse per se compared to that of a pricey cable, but the hum that some produce is definitely not something you want…

It’s funny, the reason I brought this up was because I just rearranged my room and needed a couple 6ft cables, one with straight ends and one with one right angle end. I just received them this morning.
I’m returning the one with straight ends because there is a very noticeable hum as soon as I plug it in. It is very thin, thinner than any cable I’ve ever seen before, and probably has no shielding and uses a very thin wire gauge. The connectors themselves look sturdy but that doesn’t mean doodly squat if it hums!

Update:
I thought it was funny that today I just saw an article on Guitar World about cables and so I’ve linked it here. I think it basically says what everyone here already said, just get a decent jack that won’t break and you should be good to go. Longer cables may be different and you would probably want to buy a little better quality.

Mogami cables are a little above my affordability range. 😁
I bought a GLS cable for about 1/10th the price of the Mogami and I’m happy with it…except it has a tendency to be a little unruly when I try to uncurl it and straighten it out.
