Have a question – need help. Question is directed to the Blues Lead Guitar Course; Module 2, Pattern 1. That module has units 1 – 16 and presents videos for 13 Licks. The tab that is highlighted for download has 13 licks but none of the download licks match what Brian plays in the videos. Am I looking at something incorrectly?
Hi Doug,
The tabs show the same patterns but in a different key. Brian plays them in the key of C while they are tabbed out in the key of A. Brian’s intention was to let you realize that patterns are moveable (you can play them in any key).
To transcribe them to the key of C, simply move your fingers 3 frets up. So fret 5 becomes fret 8 and so on.
They are better ways to think about it but I don’t want to muddy the waters too much 🙂

JoLa, Thanks. Got it. On I go.
Hi Doug,
I ran into the same issue. Do you think it is correct to assume the jam tracks are in the key of C? The video has him playing in Cm/D sharp pentatonic while the tablature is in C/Am pentatonic.
Thank you
Brian

Re Blues Lead Course, go onto weekly lessons page, scroll down left hand column and it’s at bottom under COURSE LESSONS.
Confused me too Brian.
Thanks for clearing that up JoLa
