Hi all, just a reminder that the Lessons and the Forum are both searchable (Forum is searchable from the main page, see screen shot below).
If you’re searching for other members’ takes on a lesson, the best way would be by plugging in the lesson number, but there are still a number of variables unless we follow the naming convention established by Brian—he uses 2 letters and 3 digits with no space, e.g., EP001. It’s easy to get caught up in other things beside that when preparing a lesson, so I understand people forgetting or doing it non-standard, no big deal, but we can try.
If you notice you’ve forgotten or done it differently than the 2-letter, 3-numeral format, you have something like a half hour to edit your post (or until someone comments, I think).
And there’s one more way to get it in there. Please feel free to help out your fellow Active Melody members by adding it to the Topic Tags (below the main text box) if you find a lesson without the number. Thanks!

I have a question about those Tags. I think I’ve picked up a very quirky and possibly wrong way of typing them, picked up from one of the social media sites (don’t even remember which). I do it with a hashtag and no spaces, capitalizing every word. Is there any right/best way to type these?

I have no idea about using the bits outside this box and hadn’t realized that we should fill in the tags to help the search facility. I have not had much dealings with web site management of any sort. I think a lot of the older folk here will have fallen into this inadvertently, so well posted.
Is there a write up somewhere on all the tabs along the top of the edit box here ‘B I Link’ etc? I can guess bold and Italic but what is the correct use of all of these codes for the non code folk? Also how should you tag some thread like this?

In addition to “Bold” and “Italics,” which you nailed, “LINK” is what turns a URL into a piece of brown type. You select the URL (highlight with cursor), then click the LINK button. A pop-up appears where you type the the word or words to represent your URL; there’s a ballot box for the option “Open in new window,” which seems preferable to me in almost all instances.
The other button I know a little about is “B-QUOTE,” presumably for block quote. I used it for this paragraph.

Hi Gene, if you mean like at the top, it’s a screen shot of the main Forum page (screen shot on the Mac I use is Command-Shift-4 [three keys together]).
Then attach the screen shot and select the ballot box “Insert attachment in text.”
Doing this from memory, but I’ll walk through tomorrow when I’m at the computer to test it.
