I’m working through lesson EP604. What kind of muting are you doing in the 2nd measure? Or are you? The tab doesn’t say to let the low E string ring out, but I’m not sure the best way to mute the low E string and the video doesn’t show much of your strumming hand.

I wouldn’t mute at all and I think the low E should ring out through the bar. Watch the slow playthrough. I don’t see any muting there.
