For me, Julian Lage is one of the most distinctive and unique voices on guitar today. His music is more in the jazz realm, but it’s not that simple. He’s hard to classify other than saying he is who he is. In this interview, at one point, he says, “We all know it’s not about moving our fingers. It’s about what’s ‘behind the door'”. This is a wonderful conversation with an artist. A lot of ideas about expression on the guitar, playing with others, supporting the band, etc. Also features Don Was as a guest host. Hope you enjoy it!
