For some reason I’m unable to view your lessons on my iPhone now. Are you using a different format?

I have also problems on my Mac today. Instead of seeing the videos, I only see the programming codes for the different parts. An example from EP 592, first/free lesson:

I don´t think the problem lies at my end of the chain…
Rene S says
Same problem here, none of the lessons working, I also get this “embed” message only
Frodo Fender says
I am back on track now. You too? 🙂
slopace says
More great material!
Michael Allen says
Beautiful tune and another great lesson! Thank you Brian
Jim M says
Stuffing it in my bag of licks. Thank you, Brian.
Ralph P. says
What a gorgeous sound you dialed in. Very euphonias…I could listen to that all day. Great lesson as usual.
Mike R says
Pretty cool. Nice connections to caged shapes. I can use this a lot.
Raymond P says
Brian, I can open the lesson. I’ve tried Edge, Google and Duck and still can’t get on. Any advice?
Brian says
I don’t understand what you mean by “I can open the lesson” – i assume you mean “I can’t open the lesson” – but you were able to leave a comment on the lesson page… so do you mean one of the videos isn’t playing? Soundslice? Tab? Jam track? can you clarify? Also, if you’re getting a message about signing in to make sure you’re not a “bot” – this happens lately if you’re using a VPN – you might try using a different location in your VPN, otherwise disable… OR, you might try either clearing your browser cache, or using a different browser altogether (Google Chrome, Firefox) etc.
Raymond P says
Thanks Brian. I turned off my VPN and now I can view all the videos again. I don’t know why the Norton VPN is doing this now after all these years of having Norton but turning it off seems to have fixed the problem.
Thank you for your help.
Now I can enjoy your lessons.

Another Great lesson. Beautiful sound, interesting song. Thanks Brian.
PJR says
Just what I need. I love the sound of harmonized thirds and sixths.
So well explained. Thanks Brian.
Charles R says
You picked B because it’s a ‘closed position’. I’m not sure I caught it, but I assume you’re hybrid picking the harmonies, especially the 6ths, e.g. the ones on strings 4 and 2. I am thinking that certain keys aka certain closed positions would sound better if instead of hybrid picking I strummed across the three strings of a harmonized 6th, adding an open string to the mix. One because I’m not as strong a guitar player so it is a benefit to be able to add in the hybrid picking challenge later and begin with a simple strum, and two because it’s another voicing and so adds to the musical possibilities. By certain keys I am thinking G and A. Would be interested in hearing any thoughts on this.

Lovely refresher on harmonized 3rd/6ths excellent lesson.
Thanks Brian.

I’m having the same problem Ramon is having. I’ve tried several things . I did get through by going direct to u tube. Still can’t get through on a m
Harry B says
This is your best lesson ever, Brian, for teaching us how to play easy listening guitar. There are enough takeaways here to keep me busy for months. It is why I keep looking forward to your lesson every week.
Harry B says
I love how you work the lydian sound into it.
Daniel H says
Glad to see a review lesson of harmonized thirds and sixths. It is extremely helpful when you review previous material but with a new song and slightly different perspective. It helps me “cement” the idea in my memory for recall and use. Speaking of repetition, it would be nice to see a lesson revisit bending and pedal steel looks.. a where and how to apply them. You did one years ago and some reinforcement would be great. Brian- please never hesitate to repeat old lesson material with a new perspective. For me those are the best lessons!
Paul M says
Lightbulbs were flashing!
SubmarinerJim says
A little bit of an explanation of how you were using your right hand would have been useful, hybrid picking I would guess. However, with the knowledge you have imparted in past lessons, I think I can probably work it out, the best way to learn I would guess.. It was a great lesson though, I love the harmonized sounds.
Bobs Ultra-339 Electric Guitar Level 2 Vintage Sun says
Brian , I am still getting all kinds of crazy stuff when I try to access this lesson from AM. (Great lesson by the way) part 1 will only come in on u tube some times part 2 is on slice . I have tried clearing the browser, nothing seems to work correctly.
Paul N says
Very good Briant. Thanks!
Patrick J. G says
Brian, I’m having the same issue on lesson 1. Lesson 2 ok, sound slice ok. Lesson 1 is utube.
Patrick J. G says
Brian, just played the sound slice which was fine, and now lesson 1 works .
Douglas N says
Best lesson for me in a long time, very useful stuff ✌️🍀
Laurance K says
Another great one, Brian. I’ve wanted to add harmonized lead lines into my playing. This is a great one to see the “how and why” on where to start!
Darryl P says
Thanks for a great lesson. I really enjoy this type of lesson.
Victor says
What a great lesson! Yet again you have changed the way I learn, think about, and play. Thanks!
cloughie says
Thanks Brian. That my Sunday vibe for a long weekend here in NZ. One tiny fragment reminded me of EP282, one of my all-time favorites and also in B.
Keep em coming maestro!
Mark H says
Another great lesson with plenty to focus on. Also love your micro lessons. More micro lessons would be very welcome.
Paul D says
Great lesson Brian. Love those harmonies!
Charles Q says
Good lesson will enjoy learning this, I wonder if you would consider a lesson on how to embellish the melody of some of the old standards like you have done before those are really helpful to me,
Francisco Marto says
A very interesting lesson indeed. But is it not very easy to follow, especially the second part. I understand why you choose the key of the song in B. But what do you think about a lesson (in the key of C) with harmonised thirds en sixts starting with the C shape in first position with the same cord progression using the minor sixt, the fourth and the fifth.
Austin T. Walden says
Brian I would really love a ‘summation’ guitar video where you do all the harmonized 6ths and 3rd in a CAGED style walkthrough. You did something a few months back with major scales and chords etc in every position and I reference it a lot to keep my fingers in shape. Would love something like that with harmonized leads!
Pierre L says
Very nice lesson. I’ve been putting off writing my first tune, but this looks like a great way to get started.
Willem S says
Great lesson, very helpfull, lots of eye-openers! Thnxs.
doctim says
Love this stuff B. Thanks.
Steve says
Valuable lesson, it helps my intuition joining these shapes together and hanging off CAGED. More like this on those other harmonised patterns you mentioned near the end on the E shape. Also like the 1,6,5,4 progression, 1 and 6 are always the same notes and probably share the same runs too.
William S says
Gday Brian. I loved this lesson; you are a great teacher, I have been playing around with 4-2 voicing for a while now, but never really picked up on the harmony idea, awesome. love it, thanks a heap, I appreciate your lessons every week take care,
Dennis H says
Hi Brian,
Gerat useful lesson. I’m working up a lead part for ‘Ballad of Easy Rider’ and have used some 6th intervals on strings 1 and 3 , but this will round it out, throwing in some 3rds on strings 2 and 4 and maybe adding a 5th interval.. Thanks much!
Dennis H says
Sorry, I meant 3rds on strings 2 & 3!
Richard F says
This supports what I’ve been doing for a week or so. I’ve created short drills out of isolated tracks from youtube of Bobby’s chops on Bertha, circa 1972. This is a nice complement to what he was doing on stage. Thanks.
Jay F says
Love it. There is so much packed into this lesson. I’ll be working on this for months!
Thanks!
Loyd C says
Brian! I’ve had many lessons and different teachers over the years … I find your teachings the smoothest and the simplest way to visualize and understand without overthinking or overloading the lessons … just a wonderful way to understand! Fabulous mate 🙌
Arnold T says
Thank you so much for the great lesson as usual. I found this lesson particularly helpful.
John W says
Best Lesson Ever. Tied many things together. Talked a bit fast on this on but it was OK
since I go through it again. Best part was you said one does not need a backing track or a band, just
slide along, just play. UNREAL. Thirds and sixths is the secret, you need not play fast, just sweet.
David S says
Brian, Another home home run. Lots of good takes on this one.Something to use on any style. Thanks for all you do. Also will be needing Christmas song soon so we can learn before
Christmas. Hope all is going well with you and all.
jerry c says
Brian , Another great lesson, with a ton of take a ways!! Thanks so much.
Rick R says
Yet another terrific lesson. In the five years I’ve subscribed, I’ve been able to build what amounts to “master classes” across a wide variety of areas I want to work on. This lesson is no different and when combined with five other lessons around harmonies, I built a masters class that I would pay a fortune for in private lessons. Great content, sustainable value.

Can’t access video of lessons anymore!?
Rest of page fine. Something about embedded file? Suggestions

Same for me.

Hi Brian, I can’t seem to open any lessons. Everything was working fine until today.
I can listen to the MP3 tracks and view the sound slice but not the actual lessons. I just get links to YouTube which doesn’t connect.
alistair r says
I am having the same issues with lessons across the entire site. I am now only see a YouTube link for the first lesson and a Vimeo link for the members only lessons. This seems to be across all lessons. I don’t see any embedded video content.
Martin P says
Seems ok for me now Alistair

All good for me now as well. Somethings changed in the past hour. All good.

Some kind of glitch I presume.

This is great! I love this one. Gonna take some work but very worthwhile. Many thx!
Donald S says
Brian,
I’ve watched this first video 3 or 4 times trying to catch all the info you’re throwing out. I’ve put down my guitar and taken notes. If I have this right, each CAGED chord shape has it’s own shape for Harmonized 3, 4 and 6th. Not that one shape can’t be played chromatically up and down the neck. But when moving from one position to another on the neck and changing chord shapes, the harmonized shape changes depending on which chord shape if the CAGED system you’re using.
Clear as mud I’m sure, but have i got that right?
Thanks! Another great lesson and some cool riffs
Don
