Description
As promised here is some more acoustic blues for your arsenal. This is part 1 of 2 (the follow up to this will be showing you how to play lead on top it). This is an original composition (as far as I know anyway) that was really written and composed just so that I could teach it. The only way that I can provide tablature and jam tracks for songs is if I own the copyright, so it forces me to have to write and tab these little mini-songs… but I have to admit I sort of love doing it, so it’s not a complaint. I’d love to start hearing your attempt at playing these songs, so if you can, once you learn it, post a video on YouTube and share it with the community! I think we’d all benefit from hearing each other.
Anyway, in this blues guitar lesson I’ll do a 30 minute in depth breakdown of how each note is played, along with showing you exactly which fingers you should be using on your right hand. As far as I can tell I’ve covered every single part of it, so if you have an interest in learning it, it’s all there for you!

@gtango - make sure you have Adobe PDF reader to view tab files (it’s free) but needs to be installed.
A nice variation is to play a high E in the E chord instead of the B you say in the step-by-step, sounds good both ways though. Great lesson, your class is worth the cost of my broadband alone. Can’t wait for the second instalment of this one. Keep up the good work.
That was a great lesson, I’ve just about cracked it, thought that F# shape took me a while, hard to get the strings to ring out each time. These acoustic blues lessons are brilliant.
Brian. I am having difficulty downloading the Tabs…Do we need a specific version of the PDF reader..I have an uptodate version 9 and I cannot get the tabs to download…Love the video lesson but I am desperate for the TABS
Brian…I realy appreciate your instructions and am having a great deal of fun relearning guitar as an old retiree..Just one request going forward…When you do the tabs could you somehow indicate what chords you are going into on the tabs..It would really help in following your instructions as you mention the chords in the vids but I have a hard time finding where we are on the tabs..

Hi Brian ,First I have to thank you for your lessons. My problem is that,I am trying lesson EP014,and finding a bit difficult to hummer the third string on the F# while making a bar, I am used to make bar chords, but when I come to hammerons in bar chords the sound does not sound good. Could it be the type of strings I am using. I am not using the light strings, Does it make the difference. Once again thanks for your lessons

I have a question. What is the chord played between the A and E7 chord in bar 12?

Hi Brian, any chance you could send out a correct tablature for this, it’s confusing due to being different than what you are demonstrating.
Fun !! I just play finger style so I really enjoy this type lesson. I’ve used those chord progressions for years and it’s always fun to hear someone else’s take on them.
On a lot of your lessons where you use a pick I just convert it to finger style. A bit challenging but still fun. Thanks.
Remember this one and it is a favorite AM oldie! i did all these just watching right along the slow lesson.. also remember before the soundslice wishing you would speed up teaching it slow as this but truth is I would practice as you were specifying slow ly for beginners.

Great lesson, I was gonna complain about the lack of note description above the tablature, but it seems like this is an oooold lesson. It looks like you’re marking them now. Love the solo (meaning no accompaniment) pieces.
