Sounds like the title of a Poppa Chubby song I know!
Here in New Zealand we are in day one of a 4 week Covid-19 lock down. No doubt, there are many other members who are also in lockdown and have been for a while, so I thought I would start a thread and encourage people to say hi, tell us how they are doing and how they are passing the time. I have managed to keep myself quite busy today, 2 hours of guitar. I’m working on motif development and in particular on a Tony Iommi riff from the Ironman solo. I’m not a great fan of Black Sabbath but it’s a very cool riff and great for developing other ideas from. I work in an essential industry so got to go out for a couple of hours, went for a run (we are encouraged to exercise as long as we only mix with others in our household “bubble” and keep away from non-bubble members while we are outdoors). In times like these thank goodness for guitars.

Hi Al, yeah same situation here in UK. Presently we can do one “essential” supermarket trip, and o.k. to go outside for exercise once a day keeping 2mtr distance between individuals. Now been an active melody member for 2years. With the best will in the world, working full time it’s hard to keep up with Brian’s excellent lessons. Now looking at the back catalogue. I play finger style aka Jeff Beck, (not even close to his level!!!!) just can’t get on with a pick!!
Yeah, thank goodness for guitars. They’ve saved my sanity many times!
Great to here from you, take care mate! -

Great time to settle myself down and learn how to play some Peter Green stuff..
Take care and be safe...Billy..

Yep, I’m also a Kiwi (though born in America) living in Auckland. The main problem with the lockdown for many of us could be (1) too much alcohol consumption, and (2) eating too much and getting fat. We’re trying to go for walks every day, and we have a few dumbbells in the house so we can do some resistance training. My wife and I are dedicated gym enthusiasts, and we’re really missing that. We’re also missing not being able to hang out with our grandchildren, who live a 15 minute drive from us. And all this is because people in China eat bat soup:
On the positive side, my relatives in Colorado are happy because although all but essential businesses have been closed, the retail cannabis shops are considered essential services. But interestingly, the liquor stores are not essential.
