I’ve just watched a review of these on Andertons youtube channel, I’m not 100% sure I am sold on a multifunction guitar and I’m guessing it would be out of my price range anyway..i did like the looks of the Sunburst one though.

Has a price been announced yet?.

Edit, just checked your link and these are priced at £1,700 GBP.. that’s around $2000 USD Mark..

Certainly Danish Pete managed to get some beautiful tones out of the guitar and Lee did his best. I quite liked the funky look to it, however the price looked a wee bit high for what it is.

I watch a demo today and I dig the range of sounds but there is no way I would buy one. I love my Tele but I don’t want an accoustic version of it. I am an acoustic traditionalist.

For that price no way, I’m not shopping for retirement gifts just yet.

That said, I would love this to go out pub playing where I never know if I’ll be the only guitarists and I’ll be playing cowboy chords or I’ll be a sixth guitarist doing some melody lines || country riffs. The versatility would be great to have, I just don’t get that spanky sparkly tele sound from the pickups I have on my acoustic.

I like the idea of the Acoustasonic Telecaster (who invent those names?) very much.

I don’t play acoustic guitar anymore, I still have an acoustic flamenco guitar (from Maldonado in Malaga Spain)

I switched to electric guitar because on an apartment an acoustic guitar still still sounds too loud at the neighbors. There are more pleasant things imaginable than always hearing the same bits dozens of times in a row. This problem has been solved with an electrical and a headphone.
Also, an electric guitar is less stressful for the left hand but more stressful for the shoulder.

I love my Deluxe Nashville Tele . I play very clean with sometimes a little crunch and a little reverb.
I hardly use the bridge pickup. (on the deluxe Nashville the bridge and neck pickup cannot be played together, there is a middle pickup)
So perhaps the Acoustasonic Telecaster could replace my Deluxe, but hen there is the price 1999€.
I suppose the Acoustasonic Telecaster will sound acoustically much quieter than a normal acoustic. Which in my case is an advantage. But I have never heard the Acoustasonic Telecaster acoustically without amplification.
I’m also used to .9 strings and the Acoustasonic Telecaster uses normally .12 so it will be harder to play but it will also be less stressful for my shoulders.

When I get the chance, I want to play on the Acoustasonic Telecaster. Then I’ll know how and how loud she sounds and also whether .12 strings for my left hand is feasible. But the price remains the biggest obstacle.
Maybe there will be a Mexican or Squier version next year.
